Missions and Outreach

Impacting lives for Christ in our community and beyond.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

Matthew 28:19

At First Baptist Church of Purvis, we believe in answering the call of the Great Commission by sharing the Gospel both at home and around the world. Through prayer, giving, and personal involvement, our church family supports missionaries and ministries that are making an eternal impact across the globe. From Central America to Europe and beyond, we are committed to partnering with faithful servants who proclaim the name of Jesus and bring hope to every nation.

Our Mission Partners

Kendrick Ministries

Kendrick Ministries is a mission outreach led by Bob & Angelique Kendrick, sharing the love of Christ through music, compassion, and hands-on ministry. Based in El Salvador, this ministry serves local communities by meeting both spiritual and physical needs—spreading the Gospel, supporting local churches, and offering hope through service projects and outreach events. FBC Purvis is grateful to partner with Kendrick Ministries as they bring the message of Jesus to people around the world.

Maya Missions

Wayne and Glynda Anderson have been missionaries to the Maya and Kekchi Indians in Belize and Guatemala for 45 yrs. The Lord has saved over 7,000 people and raised up 42 churches with national pastors. The heart of the work is a pastor's school where they teach and train the pastors how to pastor their churches and reach their people. They also have a radio ministry, a tract ministry and a film ministry.

Ethan Shields

Ethan Shields serves as a missionary in Panama, sharing the Gospel and helping strengthen local churches throughout the region. His ministry focuses on evangelism, discipleship, and building relationships that lead others to a growing walk with Christ. Through his faithful service, Ethan is reaching communities with the hope of Jesus and encouraging believers to live out their faith.

Adams Family

The Adams Family serves faithfully in Wales, sharing the Gospel and helping to strengthen local churches in a country where many have yet to experience a personal relationship with Christ. Their ministry focuses on evangelism, discipleship, and community outreach—building relationships that open doors for the message of hope found in Jesus.

The Timothy Initiative

At FBC Purvis, we’re honored to partner with The Timothy Initiative, a ministry dedicated to making disciples and planting churches around the world—especially in areas where the Gospel has not yet been heard. Through simple, reproducible training, TTI equips local believers to share Christ, disciple new believers, and form house churches within their own communities. This powerful ministry is helping fulfill the Great Commission by multiplying disciples who make disciples.
