GriefShare is a Christ-centered, 13-week grief support ministry offered at First Baptist Church of Purvis that helps individuals navigate the pain of losing a loved one with compassion and biblical truth. Designed for anyone grieving the death of a spouse, parent, child, friend, or other loved one, GriefShare provides a safe and welcoming environment where you don’t have to walk through grief alone.

Each week, participants begin with a 30-minute video session featuring respected Christian counselors, pastors, and people who have experienced loss themselves. These videos offer insight into common grief challenges—such as loneliness, anger, fear, and questions for God—and practical, biblical guidance for finding comfort and healing.
 
Following the video, small-group discussion gives you time to reflect, connect, and support one another in a trusting community. A participant guide (workbook) helps reinforce what you’ve learned and equips you with tools to navigate your grief journey outside of meetings.

GriefShare is open to anyone and welcoming—even if you’re just beginning your grief journey or joining partway through a cycle. You are encouraged to join at any time, and there’s no pressure to share before you’re ready.
